SILAS LI
The Wayne Gretzky of the security systems industry - he lives and breathes security, day and night! With over 40 years of experience in the industry, Silas is one of the most well-known and well-respected names in the business. From working for the biggest names (such as Digital Security Controls, or DSC) in the industry, to starting his own monitoring station and security dealer programs, Silas has unique expertise in every facet of the electronic security.
He was also a part-time instructor at BCIT, teaching security to the next generation of security professionals, and has also performed security training for the RCMP. Silas brings a level of expertise found nowhere else in the industry to Alarm Max Security.
DEREK LI
Derek is the business mastermind of Alarm Max. He created Alarm Max Security in 2011, simultaneously completing his business degree at UBC, and has since grown the company to where it is today. He is involved with every facet of Alarm Max – from the technical, to the administrative. He takes immense pride in ensuring that the company is always doing its absolute best to provide impeccably reliable security services to its customer base.
He is continually building his security expertise with the help of Silas, and has the goal of expanding Alarm Max's presence and values far beyond Western Canada - all while maintaining the quick, personalized service that Alarm Max's customers have been accustomed to.
Steffan Chavarria
In 2007, Steffan established his own company, Via Quantum Security, where he honed his skills and learned about the industry. After 11 years of working as a one man show, he started to feel the toll of wearing too many hats at once, and decided to find a team environment instead. This is where he teamed up with Derek and Silas. Knowing them for years in the industry, he took pride in their work and cared for the final product that was delivered to the end client.
Steffan has been around since the early days of CCTV Systems - from the low resolution analog days, to the now HD IP Megapixel systems that you can watch on your smartphone. He's also had many years of experience in alarm systems, access control, and system integration.
